Delivery Guarantees

Abound updates a Mailing status by listening to scanning events performed by the USPS. Unfortunately, the USPS does not guarantee these scanning events happen or even in a sequential order.

Abound attempts to correct the inconsistent signals from the USPS in order to provide a reliable and linear status lifecycle.

In the case that Abound does not receive an explicit delivery event from the USPS, we rely on the average delivery time for US domestic First Class Mail of 4-6 business days. If 6 business days have passed since the mailing was sent, Abound will automatically mark it as DELIVERED.
